Overview
NetBeacon Reporter is designed to simplify DNS abuse reporting for individuals and organizations alike, helping domain registrars take swift action against harmful online activities. The tool enables users, including internet users, law enforcement agencies, consumer protection bodies, and internet security agencies, to report various forms of DNS abuse, such as phishing, malware, botnets, and spam. These reports are standardized and enriched before being forwarded to the relevant entities for investigation and action.
DNS abuse encompasses five broad categories of harmful online activities that intersect with the Domain Name System (DNS), including phishing, malware, botnets, spam, and pharming. NetBeacon Reporter provides a centralized and efficient way for users to submit abuse reports, ensuring that the appropriate parties are notified and can address the issues. The reports are then processed into an industry-standard format, making them easier to track and manage across multiple abuse databases.
KOR Labs contribution
KOR Labs contributes to understanding DNS abuse by collecting and processing data on malicious URLs identified in reputable blocklists. We enrich the data of these abusive domains, providing crucial insights into the speed and effectiveness of mitigation efforts. The results are delivered to Netbeacon Reporter, a centralized platform for analysis of DNS Abuse that is accessible for registrars and registries.
